Built by a small team who got tired of typing, and decided speaking shouldn't cost anything.

01 The problem

Talking has always been free. Somewhere along the way, turning that talking into text got a price tag attached to it.

A subscription here, a per-minute fee there, a free tier that stops working right when you need it most. We don't think that's fair. Speech to text is not a luxury. It's how a lot of people write faster, work through an injury, manage a disability, or just think out loud without their hands getting in the way. Charging for that access means the people who need it most are often the ones least able to pay for it.

02 Why current tools fail

Most dictation tools ask you to trust them. Arc Flow asks you to choose.

A lot of voice-to-text tools work the same way under the hood: your audio leaves your computer the second you start talking, goes to a server they control, and comes back as text. You usually don't get to see that happen, and you almost never get asked first.

Cloud AI, if you want itRouted through their infrastructure, on their termsDirect from your device to a provider you picked, with your own key

We're not saying every other tool is doing something wrong. We're saying we made different choices, and you deserve to know what they are before you install anything.

03 Meet Arc Flow

Speaking is not a premium feature.

Our vision is simple: speaking should be free, for everyone, always.

Our mission is to build the tool that proves it can be. Arc Flow's core dictation experience, the part that actually turns your voice into words, will never sit behind a paywall. Not as an introductory offer. Not as a limited free tier designed to expire. Free is the whole point, not a phase before the real pricing kicks in.

If you want to use a cloud AI provider for extra accuracy or faster processing, that's your choice, and you pay that provider directly with your own account. We never take a cut, and we never require it.

04 Watch it work

One hotkey, any app.

Browser, email, chat, editor, IDE, documents. If you can type into it, you can speak into it.

05 Everywhere you type

It lives quietly in your tray.

The hotkey works whether the window is open or not. Press Ctrl + Space and your words appear, cleaned up and punctuated, right where your cursor was.

06 Getting started

A little more setup, on purpose.

Most dictation tools have a three-step install: download, run the installer, start talking. Arc Flow has one extra step, and we want to be upfront about why, instead of hiding it behind a slicker demo.

That extra step is where you decide where your voice actually goes. We think that decision is important enough to ask for, even if it costs us a slightly longer setup screen.

That one extra step is the entire difference between a tool that decides for you and a tool that asks. We'd rather ask.

07 Private by architecture

We built the thing we'd want to trust.

  • Arc Flow has no accounts and no sign-in. We don't know who you are.
  • On-device mode, the default: your voice and your text never leave your computer. Not to us, not to anyone.
  • Cloud mode, optional: your audio and text go directly from your computer to the AI provider you picked, using your own API key. It does not pass through any server we run.
