Free dictation. Free forever.
Say it once.Watch it type itself.
Arc Flow turns your voice into clean, punctuated text in any app on your computer. On-device by default, so nothing you say has to leave your machine unless you decide otherwise.
Free forever. No account. No subscription. No catch.
Arc Flow is still early. Tell me what's broken. Send feedback
I built Arc Flow because I got tired of typing.
01 Where your voice goes
Your voice shouldn't have to leave your computer.
Arc Flow runs on your machine by default. Cloud processing is a choice you make, not a default you inherit.
02 Two architectures
Most tools choose the cloud for you.
Arc Flow asks.
Both columns are legitimate ways to build a dictation app. You should just know which one you're installing.
03 Meet Arc Flow
Dictation here is free. Permanently.
That is a decision about this project, not a comment on anyone else's.
04 Watch it work
One key per thing you want to do.
- Ctrl + Space
- Dictate anywhere
- Ctrl + D
- Rewrite what you have selected
- Ctrl + Q
- Capture a note
- Ctrl + Win
- Switch it all off
It sits in the tray while you work. Open it only when you want to change something.
05 Everywhere you type
Every app you already type in.
Put your cursor anywhere, press Ctrl + Space, and your words land there, cleaned up and punctuated.
06 Getting started
A little more setup, on purpose.
Most dictation tools have a three-step install: download, run the installer, start talking. Arc Flow has one extra step, and I'd rather be upfront about why than hide it behind a slicker demo.
That extra step is where you decide where your voice actually goes. That decision is important enough to ask for, even if it costs me a slightly longer setup screen.
That one extra step is the entire difference between a tool that decides for you and a tool that asks. I'd rather ask.
08 What it does
Everything you need to talk instead of type.
Dictate anywhere.
Press the dictation key in any app: browser, email, chat, editor, IDE, documents. If you can type into it, you can speak into it.
Clear, formatted writing appears wherever your cursor is.
Ctrl + SpaceCommand Mode.
Select text anywhere, press a hotkey, and say what you want done with it: "make this more formal," "summarize this," "translate to Hindi." Arc Flow rewrites the selection in place.
Notes Mode.
Speak a thought from anywhere with nothing selected, and it's saved as a note with its own title. No app-switching required.
Ask about the storage provider before the hotkey step, not after.
Automatic cleanup.
Filler words gone. Punctuation and capitalization handled. Say "no, make that five" mid-sentence, and it corrects itself.
um so I think the, the meeting should be at like four no, make that five
I think the meeting should be at five.
Your own writing style.
Set a tone (formal, casual, very casual) per context (personal, work, email), and Arc Flow writes in that voice.
A dictionary that learns your words.
Names, jargon, product terms, anything Arc Flow keeps mishearing. Teach it once, fixed forever.
Snippets.
A spoken trigger phrase that expands into whatever text you define: a signature, a canned reply, a block of boilerplate.

History and stats.
A searchable record of what you've dictated, with word and session counts, so you can see the habit build.
Your choice of AI, cloud or none at all.
OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, Groq, DeepSeek, or a custom endpoint for text cleanup. Deepgram, ElevenLabs, Mistral, OpenAI, or Groq for cloud speech to text. All optional, all using your own account.
Built for your hardware.
Arc Flow detects NVIDIA, AMD/Intel, or CPU-only hardware and recommends a model that will actually run well on your machine.

Lives quietly in your tray.
The hotkey works whether the window is open or not.
Works whether the window is open or not.
09 Nothing to pay
There's no pricing page because there's no price.
Arc Flow's core dictation, on-device speech to text and text cleanup, costs nothing, has no usage limit, and never expires. That's not an introductory period. It's the entire plan.
